LASSI - MUMBAI SANCTUARY RECIPE
Lassi is a refreshing and creamy yogurt based drink that in India. This drink is sure to cheer you up on those rough days and cool you down on those hot days.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups curd/yogurt
½ cup milk or water
4-5 tsps sugar or as per taste
¼ to ½ tsp cardamom powder
4-5 strands of saffron (optional)
1 tbsp crushed nuts for garnish - pistachio, almonds, cashew nuts,etc. (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Put the curd in a medium sized bowl along with the cardamom powder and sugar (as per taste).
Using a hand blender churn the curd until it has a smooth consistency and starts to froth. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add ½ cup of milk or water and churn it again.
Add the crushed nuts and strands of saffron for garnishing.
Serve in chilled glasses.
