Peer-to-Peer Teaching on Sex Trafficking

INFORM. EMPOWER. PROTECT.

Sex trafficking affects young people in our communities and online. Learning the facts helps us recognize harmful situations and look out for one another.

What is Sex Trafficking?

Sex trafficking is the exploitation of another person for sexual purposes through force, fraud, or coercion. It’s a form of modern slavery, and it happens in our communities, including online and in everyday life.

Why it Matters

It affects real people – mostly 13 to 24 year olds.

It happens in plain sight – including online, at parties, help wanted ads and social media.

We can make a difference – by recognizing the signs, speaking up and supporting survivors.

Knowledge Creates Change

The more we talk about it, the harder it is for traffickers to hide.

How You Can Help
