INTERN AT OUR SANCTUARY SUPPORT CENTER: ORANGE COUNTY, CA
International Sanctuary is a social enterprise working to empower young women who are survivors of human trafficking. At International Sanctuary, we are always looking for support in our work. We couldn’t do what we do without our dedicated and passionate volunteers and interns. Whatever your skill set or experience might be, we’d love to find a place for you here!
The Purpose: International Sanctuary’s U.S. internship program is designed to bring new individuals’ gifts, talents, and skill-sets to further the organization, and to also allow these individuals to learn new skills and gain valuable experiences working with a social enterprise. International Sanctuary's intention is to grow and expand by allowing others to get involved by contributing their time and efforts.
Unpaid Seasonal Internships: Spring, Summer, Fall
Internships will start in the months of: January, June, and September
Compensation: All seasonal internships are unpaid, but college credit is given if needed.
Age Requirements: International Sanctuary asks that interns are at least 16 years old and have prior experience interning. Individuals must demonstrate motivation, commitment, and reliability.
Time Commitment: Interns need to commit to at least a 3-month period (There are exceptions to the rule). Interns should commit to coming into the Sanctuary Support Center in Irvine, CA at least 2 times a week or a minimum of 8 hours a week.
Events: Interns need to attend at least two International Sanctuary events as representatives during their term.
